Overview

My name is Obinna Iloeje. I currently live in Lagos, Nigeria.
I specialize in building mobile responsive front-end UI applications and Browser Extensions as well as Backend(Rest) APIs and Technologies that interacts with the frontend Applications. I'm very passionate about learning new technologies and I understand there is more than one way to accomplish a task.

I started Web Development in 2017 when I registered for its course at FemTech Institute of Technology Ilorin, Nigeria. As I was taught how to use technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and Procedural PHP to make a web application, I avariciously grabbed the knowledge and researched more on relevant topics as the Avid learner I am.
Since then, I have acquired more skills; mastered more technologies; taught, Collaborated and delivered even Company projects, Freelancing projects and Personal projects alike.

Frontend Development

In my quest to build Pixel-Perfect Frontend Applications, I have been exposed to many frontend technologies. Although I am most proficient in building front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and Vue, I am a quick learner and can pick up new tech stacks as needed.

Backend Development

Experienced and Equipped with backend technologies such as Firebase, PHP, Laravel, Node.js, MongoDB and SQL, I build Rest API's to interact with frontend applications as well as Browser Extensions.

ChatGPT Speechifier (Text-to-Speech) Chrome Extension - Saas

June 2023 - Present

Developed a Chrome extension called ChatGPT Speechifier that enhances the ChatGPT experience by converting the chat (text) responses into speech.

Implemented the extension using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, leveraging the Chrome Extension API for integration and functionality.

Enabled users to listen to ChatGPT's text responses with a single click, improving accessibility and user experience.

Featured on Chrome Web Store as a recommended Chrome extension for ChatGPT users.

Received positive feedback from users for the added convenience and usability of the extension.

Contract Chrome Extension Developer for the Future Wiki AI browser extension that enhances the functionality of the ChatGPT website.

Responsible for DOM manipulation on the ChatGPT website using the extension, ensuring smooth integration and seamless User Experience.

Modifying the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the extension, focusing on user-friendly design and intuitive navigation.

This allows me to quickly grasp emerging technologies and assess their applicability to our projects.Additionally, I leverage my strong foundation in web development to draw parallels between existing and new technologies, facilitating a smooth transition. What is your experience with Cloud technologies?

I have practical experience with cloud technologies, particularly in the context of building Chrome extensions. In my previous role at Future AI Wiki, I successfully developed and deployed Chrome extensions that utilized Firebase Cloud services. This involved leveraging Firebase for various functionalities, such as real-time database interactions and user authentication.Additionally, outside of my professional experience, I've actively engaged with cloud technologies through tutorials and personal projects, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). I've explored AWS services like AWS S3 and AWS EC2, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as Static Website hosting, Database Integration and User Authentication.My exposure to both Firebase and AWS has provided me with a solid foundation in cloud technologies, and I'm confident in my ability to adapt and apply this knowledge to different cloud environments as needed.
